In software versions before V3.1, turning the power off while the ToneDexter is writing to its internal Flash Memory can corrupt the directory, causing it to clear. If you have a recent backup, you can reload the WaveMaps. Make sure you update the software to the latest version to prevent recurrence. If you haven’t made a backup, don’t panic, the WaveMaps are all still there, but will need to be extracted. Make a new Backup, and although it says there are no WaveMaps, the WaveMap data will be present in the backup file. Send this file to Audio Sprockets and the we can send you back your WaveMaps to reload (names cannot be recovered, so you will have to rename them).
If you encounter this problem, it’s strongly recommended to also perform a factory reset to bring the memory back to a known state. Here are the instructions for a factory reset.
